Who Are We Looking For?
Powerhouse Ventures is hiring a full-time, paid Summer Graduate Associate to support the investment team. This individual’s primary role is to support active market research, sourcing, and diligence, as well as longer-term projects directly associated with our strategic goals. The internship is expected to be 40 hours per week for about 12 weeks from May through August. The exact start and end dates are to be determined with the hiring manager.
Your skillsets and knowledge base will be complimentary to those of the investment team. This could be because of your expertise in cutting-edge software and AI, your operational experience, or your nuanced understanding of our industry.
What You’ll Be Working On
Support our top of the funnel sourcing efforts by reviewing new startups, making recommendations, and supporting initial screening calls,
Contribute to startup diligence, both by completing discrete diligence tasks and, potentially, supporting a startup diligence process from first call through investment decision
Support on data aggregation and CRM management
Completing ad-hoc projects to support diligence, fund operations, and research
Other responsibilities as assigned
About You
You’re currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an industry-relevant Masters or PhD program, or 4-6 years of prior industry-relevant job experience
You thrive in a fast-paced environment
You have excellent communication skills and high EQ
You bring strong strategic, analytical, and critical thinking skills
You have a willingness to dive into the details and navigate through ambiguity
You are driven and self-directed with outstanding organizational skills
You are passionate about climate tech
Industry-relevant technical, software/AI, investing, and/or operator experience is a plus
