CHALLENGE DETAILS

Propose software and/or hardware solutions for the clean energy industry, including a business model and go-to-market strategy that covers targeted markets and customers. Submissions should focus on the following categories:

DECARBONIZE

Reduce carbon emissions via increased adoption, installation, and/or financing of distributed energy resources (DERs). Improve energy management in residential and commercial buildings (like hospitals, offices, datacenters) and the industrial sector. Enable the deployment and adoption of clean mobility.

DECENTRALIZE

Rethink traditional modes of energy usage, production, and management via localized battery storage, demand response, microgrids, and transactive energy solutions that empower prosumers to transact excess energy produced.

DIGITIZE

Harness the potential of data through IoT & machine learning applications to enable and optimize the grid of the future. Topics of interest include integrating DERs, local asset modernization, system optimization, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

DEMOCRATIZE

Redefine market participation and energy equity in developed and emerging markets via consumer choice, transactive grids, and behavioral applications.

Winning Prizes

The top team will receive $25K in non-dilutive funding and will be accepted into the Schneider Electric Incubation Program. The program, which may be completed remotely, provides access to expert mentorship, strategic connections, and consideration for $1-3M in seed funding.

Up to 4 additional teams will be considered for $25K in non-dilutive funding and acceptance into the incubation program.
