Kim is the CEO and Co-Founder of Petra, a robot-enabled underground construction company founded in 2018. Kim was previously the Co-Founder of Ripcord, a robotic digitization company. She has 17 years of experience in product, marketing, and business development at organizations including NASA, Kingdom Holding, Elastic, Puppet, and other venture-backed tech companies. At NASA, as head of partnerships for the CTO for IT, Kim was part of the team that created OpenStack. During her three years spent in China and the Middle East, she worked for Kingdom Holding as well as Asia-based startups. Early in her career, she was a Brookings Institute LEGIS Fellow on Capitol Hill and worked in technology transfer for NASA.
