Who Are We Looking For?

Powerhouse Innovation is hiring a Manager to lead client deliverables, manage client relationships, and develop new service offerings. The Manager will become a critical part of our client services team while supporting startup sourcing and closing new clients.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Lead client deliverables (70%)

    1. Execute our three main service categories: scoping, sourcing, and diligence

    2. Develop technology landscapes, market sizing, startup landscaping, executive workshops, curated deal flow, startup diligence, and techno-economic analysis.

    3. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the engagement period

    4. Responsible for managing scope, seeking and incorporating client feedback, and ensuring Powerhouse Innovation meets or exceeds clients’ expectations

    5. Anticipate future needs of clients in order to foster long-term client relationships

    6. Drive continuous improvement in service delivery

  • Startup sourcing (15%)

    1. Proactively research emerging subject areas relevant to client needs

    2. Identify the most promising startups for potential client partnerships

    3. Engage with startups to understand their position in the industry

  • Support business development and sales (15%)

    1. Meet with prospective clients to identify how our services can add value and accelerate outcomes

    2. Collaborate with business development in preparing and presenting proposals to prospective clients

    3. Support the team to develop new service offerings

  • Additional Responsibilities

    1. Assist in ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned

 

About You

Experience

  • STEM degree in an energy related field 

  • At least 6 years of relevant full-time experience 

  • Experience in R&D, manufacturing, or product development in an energy related sector 

  • Experience working with energy startups, investors, or large corporations

Demonstrated Skills and Capabilities

  • Excellent communications skills

  • Detail-oriented with outstanding organizational skills

  • Team-oriented, with high emotional intelligence

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines with consistent follow through 

  • Motivated by challenges, solutions-oriented, relentlessly positive

Compensation and Benefits

The target salary range for this position is $110k - $140k. Competitive pay will be offered commensurate with qualifications, and competitive benefits will be provided including comprehensive medical plans, 401(k) plan, flexible time off, and an annual professional development budget.
